Paintucation’s Kevin Tetz Hosts a new network show!

“Classic Rides” will air on DIY Network sometime this fall season. As the name suggests, different “classic” vehicles will be brought back to life with the help of some very special friends and a lot of hard work! The vehicles we choose have to be instantly recognizable, and must have retained their classic look throughout their history. Our first subject is a 1965 Harley Davidson Electra glide. Last of the Panheads and first year for electric start. Truly a beautiful piece of Americana, and a fun project. Harley Restoration expert and veteran mechanic Bill Dunkleberger is there to assist and educate Kevin on the finer points in and around a vintage Harley, and unselfishly lends his years of experience to our restoration. Dunk’s the real deal! Special guest Ron Covell (www.covell.biz) gives us tips on fabricating a “new” fender for a classic bike, and Nate Chase (www.innate.com) gives us a hand prepping and painting our classic Harley. Bill Crawford from National Cycle shows us his beautifully restored ’47 Knucklehead and talks about windshields and accessories, as well as National Cycle’s long history with Harley Davidson.

The shows are packed full of great restoration tips, and like most shows on DIY Network, there are internet tips and show outlines along with still shots of all the procedures on the website as the shows are on the air. Watch for announcements on air times, show dates, and new subject vehicles! Log onto diynetwork.com or to paintucation.com for updates!
