LPGT Mustang
I’ll let the pictures speak (mostly…) it’s good to finally see the designing phase finished other than a few details. Next, it’s off the media blasting, then for final fittment, roll cage, structural bracing, then bodywork, priming, followed by many sessions of blocking, and finllay off to paint… before April of 2014.

Please rethink that front cowcatcher. It doesn’t fit the car at all. The ‘68 Shelby hood scoops look great, but the cowcatcher looks wrong. It doesn’t flow with the styling at all. The idea is good but it looks like it was taken from another car alltogether and stuck on this one.

Thanks for your opinion…. I think if you saw it in person you’d think differently. It’s not that pronounced, and offers a slightly different profile than typical. I’ve taken alot of chances on this car, the cow catcher being one of them. Im going to follow through with it and get it under paint. The other “glass fascia I have is a vintage Shelby style rather than the one that’s on it. (no cow catcher…) Once it’s in paint I hope you comment again an I hope that in the grand scheme it all looks good together.

The Stang looks great, looking forward to seeing more. Not sure where you are on the interior, but I was researching headliners and found a cool molded headliner with or without an overhead console. Looked easy to install and gives you an extra 2.5 inches of head room. Seemed like a natural for a pro touring car. They have one that fits your 66 coupe, but unfortunately not my 66 fastback. The site was Mustangs to Fear. Keep us updated and hope to see it in person at the Mustang 50th.

Hi Kevin, the project looks great. I’ve been eagerly looking for details on the LP Bi-fuel system you are planning to use and have not found any details yet. I am working on a 67 shelby vert conversion with an ‘03 cobra drivetrain and suspension and am considering the bi-fuel LP option but am finding it hard to locate information on it. There appears to be EPA rules concerning the conversion. Can you share the conversion kit or components you will use? Thanks! -Geoff

Hi Kevin,
Hopefully your just busy since it’s been some time since your last post, but I can’t wait for your project to be done. It looks awesome.
My question to you is if you are going to post anything on the interior and how you did that. I would like to know what was involved since I would like to take the interior out of a 09 - 11 mustang and put it in my 67 convertible mustang. Can you fill us in more on this?

Nice work Kevin! I love the back of the car! The front looks mismatched to me because the top half seems chiseled/edgy and the bottom half seems rounded/bulbous. It could just be me though…
